Ut its menu system and live view performance. To say the D5500 sits in a crowded field is an understatement. On the DSLR side it competes against the Canon EOS Rebel T6i (750D) and Pentax K-S2, as well as the Fujifilm X-T1, Olympus E-M10, Panasonic DMC-G6, and Sony a6000 mirrorless cameras. The D5500 appears to use the same 24. Zte axon 7 cheap The design of the D5500 has changed for the better. Indeed, the camera is very light and compact - even more than the D3300. The grip is also much deeper than on the D5300, making it a whole lot easier to hold onto. As you can see, the D5500 is an upgrade in every respect, save for the lack of a GPS, though we wonder how often that feature is used in general. The D5500 is available in three kits in most regions.
Adding the collapsible 18-55mm F3. Point of clarification: With the D5500 did Nikon finally address the infamous "must exit and reenter LiveView to change aperture"? The wording of the review implies you can now change aperture while in LiveView (though still not while a video is being recorded).

Count how many times the author says "while.... He sure does like using the word "while" a lot. I wonder why this shutter shock thing does not seem to withhold people from buying this camera. For me it certainly is a dealbreaker.
Please help with a sincere opinion. My right eye is suffering of cataracts, an I am using now all the time glasses correcting a -3. They also react to the light becoming darker outside.

Without glasses I will see badly through the optical viewfinder. With glasses I may have difficulties because the eye is not close enough to the rubber, not to mention that the autofocus points may not be "focused" by my glasses, being so close to the lens. Shortly, how do you use it? This is the only point I have to clarify before going to buy a DSLR like this. The viewfinder on DSLRs can generally be corrected for glasses..
The bigger difference in viewfinder is if the camera uses a Pentamirror or a Pentaprism. You want the Pentaprism as it is brighter.

Many of the cheaper, low end crop bodies use a Pentamirror (such as this D5500). Pentax cameras adopt a Pentaprism in even the lower end bodies though produced today. For replacing it, I got the Nikon D5500. I really expected more for such branded camera. I really hope the images are better than NX30 (although the chart where we can compare various models in this review shows a significant worse image quality compared to NX30). Pictures size options, movie sizes and only on LCD screen, lenses noise (16-50mm AFS), speed on braket mode (ridiculous), Wi-Fi (almost inexistent), direct keys and dials, flash communication - really, AF speed, OVF versus EVF and so many moveable parts inside)...
All - ALL - informations on display are on EVF; Nikon has a mirror and this makes all difference, cutting any image or info when shooting; the only poblem with NX30 evf is the frame rate when making movies... For killing the Nikon ovf, nx30 is protuding, which is the most for pictures or movies!

NX30 has also a rotating control; The display on Nikon is bigger, but Samsung is Super Amoled, very visible; The lenses: although in less number of options, they are the most one can need for simple occasions. I had the 16-50mm - motorized in focus and zoom (does Nikon has any affordable priced lens with motorized zoom? I liked my D5500 but I sold it and got D7100 because:- Lightweight body makes it difficult to keep it steady - No HSS support - No AF fine tune - D7100 has better low light performance.
In fact this review should read "Class leading IQ" not "Excellent IQ". I can say everything is good except AF accuracy. Anyone know the model number of the Sony IMX sensor in the d5500? It is very impressive and has caused me to retire my d7100 (except as a backup camera).

I bought one too. I had the opportunity to try the D5500 against the D7100, and D7200. Canon Competition, and came away with this camera the D5500 as my choice. Mostly for the video. Not in a super hurry for 4K quite yet since most of my friends have 1080p tech, as do I. The thing that so impressed me was the balance, low weight, excellent touch screen interface, and solid image quality.
I may get the D500 some day, or the D7200, but so far, I am not really in a hurry to do so. At ISO 800 grains or noise are not noticeable. I like it because i usually shoot at a small room lit by 1 small white bulb. It is much lighter compared to my D5100, grip is very good and viewfinder is OK to me. I have been using Nikon D5500 for past 7 months.
Opinions and reviews zte axon mini kaufen
Viewfinder gets completely washed out if sun is too bright. Local camera shop had no clue. Is this unique to me? I am not much into video , So does the price difference between D5500 and D7200 is really worth it. Also what do you think of buying D5300 over D5500 as I dont think touch screen is useful for me. A far superior option would be the d7100 refurb.
It has many more features to grow into for just a little more size and weight. They do Nothave the flip out screen!

I have a flip screen on my d750, but rarely use it, and need it even less. The bodies that offer motor drive af and metering for non af lenses open up a ton of options for you in the used lens market. Lots of great glass available for cheap. The d5xxx series do not meter old non af lenses.
So if you want an easy option to go a bit retro, the d7xxx is the way to go. If you plan on only af-s g lenses, then d5xxx is excellent. I have a D5100 and I am considering the D5500 instead of a D7xxx series camera in large part due to the flip screen.
I frequently use my camera on a copy stand or a tripod at a variety of angles, so I really like that feature. The D7xxx series has, I understand, weather sealing but that is not so essential for me. Fantastic sensor, very light camera ( I own Sony Nex7, A7s, A7r, RX100ii,) and I much prefer the ruggedness of this tiny DSLR than the mirrorless.
The Sony A7 series are great cameras but very fragile IMHO. Because when you put the beautiful sony 55mm FE lens on top of an A7, you loose all the compactness advantage of mirrorless. The only big plus of mirrorless are the EVF. My D5500 arrived today, and it is at least as small as all the reviewers say, and in my hands seems even smaller.
Having to exit out of Live View, or the dashboard to make fundamental changes to ISO, aperature, etc. The AF was mostly accurate, but seemed slow indoors. When you go into live view, you will see the ISO and F-stop displayed.
If you press the Fn. You can see the screen brighten and darken as you change. For the F-stop, just turn the dial. ISO is again adjustable via Fn. I will probably try the 5500. Hello, can anyone advise me if I should go with either the Nikon D5500 or Canon T6i? I am considering almost the exact same thing. D5500 or T6s although my purpose is for landscapes, vacations and indoor sports.
This makes me want to go with the Nikon D5500, but I have a Canon XS I want to upgrade from which makes it a more expensive switch if I go with Nikon. I have gone the DSLR route owing a D5000 which was stolen and later a D7000 but found both a hassle to take on vacation with the kids. Got a Panasonic GX1 and have been happy ever since. Much smaller and lighter and the image quality was just as good. If you are traveling with the sole purpose of photography then the Nikon or Cannon will be great, but for me personally I found using a big and bulky camera separated me from the experiences and people that I was traveling to be with in the first place. I currently use a D90 and am considering the D5500. Will the lenses I use on the D90 work on the D5500? AF-D lenses on the another hand will not auto-focus, as they require the body mounted screw drive absent for the D5500. The D5500 is mostly a downgrade compared to the D90 - you get less controls, a smaller viewfinder, lack of AF-D lens support, no top LCD and so on. But if you really need the swiveling screen, the better IQ or AF, then go ahead. I have the D80 and D5500 N
