Stupid question, my own view is that we should revive the celtic languages, most children of emigres from other eu countries will be bi lingual as a norm. There is a difference between speaking a language and understanding a language. It is the most widely spoken language and easy to learn, but we should respect the different European cultures and thus the different languages each of us speak as mother tongue.

Speaking different languages can cause difficulties indeed, but if we support people learning several languages, not just the most popular ones, we can communicate equally well.
